Yeah, I'm not usually one for cut down chassis' (unless its like an early massami car ) but that one is Nice, Really nice! I really dig the milled spots on the nose plate, kind of a ball milled effect. DIG IT!!!
Sweetness! I think I've seen a picture of that car on another site somewhere? I should have guessed a car like that belonged to someone with plenty of rc10 knowledge and craftsmanship
that has got to be one of the most structually sound cut chassis i have ever seen. i am sure that since daryl designed it he took his time and planned his cuts so they would not weaken the chassis at all. the only other cut chassis i ever liked belonged to a local guy i raced aginst in the truck class no less. it was on an original rc-10t and he made every cut triangular, the whole thing was a mess of triangles bottom and sides. his dad did it all with a dremel i think he was an engineer or something.it did not bend at all and he abused the heck out of it in the truck class. it was awesome wish i had pictures i always wanted to replicate it.
Daryl, you would not happen to have any of those chassis reinforcements or braces left would you? I know hoppty offered some up for repos, but that project has fallen a few tiers on the ladder of importance.
Been a while since I cleaned up my regular club racer ReRe Worlds car, so I did a full tear down and detail & clean up. Added the JC Racing white soft arms, they had to take a coffee bath and they are super bright white...wow....

Awhile back I built up a nix9200 chassis using my first real rc vehicle ( RC10 B3) that raced back in the late 90's,
here are both threads,
Nix concepts original concept.
My build up:

Not so much total arm length, but lengths between hinge pins and shock mounts.
The spaced out shock would put some side load on the shock as it travels through the suspensions arc.
Would be great to get it to mount up like a standard shock.
Received this little guy in the mail today! As well as RCs, my other obsession is diecast cars so I obviously had to have one of these. I mean, a Hornet-inspired diecast? Its incredible!
