I was wondering is the castor on a Procat greater compared to modern buggies? It's built according to the manual but with Bosscat hub carriers, which don't affect the castor. I read that the lower wishbones could be swapped over to change the castor. Less castor gives more steering on power, right? btw I'm running normal front driveshafts.
What you have there is the std. arm/castor setting. Less castor will generally give you more steering going INTO a turn, and less going out. This is the usual consideration on a 2wd car. A 4wd car can be a little different. Usually it will be the same, but on a 4wd car front tire profile has allot to do with how the car will react. A radiused tire like you have in the pics will tend to be more consistent with this particular tuning option. If the tire profile were more flat with sharper corners, then you might get different results. Generally speaking though, more castor (on a 4wd car) will give you more on power steering.
On a seperate note, if you want to free up the tranny on your car, flip the black seals around on your bearings. This will reduce the friction because it changes the way the rubber interfaces with the inner bearing race. It will however be more susceptible to water, mud, debris, etc. -Jeff
