Wild Ones are pretty much the most beautyfull RC buggies in my eyes. I found this one on Ebay. The previous owner claimed to have it new built of new spare parts. The bodyshell was still NIB, unpainted and with an NIB decal sheet. I bought it for a price I thought would be reasonable but like so often on Ebay I was wrong. As it arrived I found that the driver’s head, the headlights and the body mounting brackets were missing. I asked the seller for the missing bits but he just answered: “No idea, I bought it that way”. Anyway, luckily I was able to find the missing parts NIB on Ebay also. As I started to disassemble the car I found that the bumper reinforcement was also missing and the gearbox internals weren’t just used but completely worn. So I bought new gears and manufactured the bumper reinforcement from FRP. I wasn't sure on how to paint the shell so I bought an additional repro body shell and driver’s head off a Tamiya Club member. I went for a non-boxart livery with both shells because Tamiya’s idea just isn’t my cup of tea. The Pepsi shell is the original one, the red one is the repro. The only bad things about Wild Ones are the drivers, they look like wearing boxing gloves I may add additional lights to the front end and number plates to the rear cage later, time will tell.
Cheers
Norbert

I like it, I've always promised myself a Wild One, one day.
Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
