Schumacher Cat Vintage part
Schumacher Cat Vintage part
Just finished building a vintage cat. The first model i think... I ended up putting a roster crawler esc, a 17.5t motor, and a 3 cell lipo 30/60c. The thing runs great and I've been roaring around the house and even took it outside a few times. I ended up breaking one of the front driveshaft connections. The plastic piece that slides over the one way bearing on the front. I've been trying to find a replacement but I cant seem to find one. Anyone know a part that fits?
Here is a image of it, I put on the front bumper now.

isn't there a rule in the forum that you can't convert one of the most desirable rc cars ever into this actually????

Wow, how is the rear diff and long belt holding up? There must be the world of skippage

Welcome octet!
Thats just plain wrong!
Those driveshaft bitz are as rare as hens teeth. Better put some proper tires on it before you break some more valuable parts.
If you are going to keep that monster truck style just swap out the front one ways for some direct drive shafts. Its not like you will notice the handling difference.
Drive shafts can be found easily on feebay.

Re: Schumacher Cat Vintage part
This is the only rc car that I have. I'm thinking about upgrading the front end to a one way upgraded diff that I saw on ebay. Is that the part you're talking about? I have the original tires but I drive it in my house and the tires leave marks on my hardwood so I switched to these. I'm thinking about just selling it and buying a basher. No slippage but I made sure everything was tight so this seems right. I broke the front piece trying to take it off.
Does these direct drive shafts just screw into the stock front diff?

Re: Schumacher Cat Vintage part
They are a direct fit. They just dont have the one way bearing in the inner shaft.
U630A, U704, U1692. Any of these will fit.
You would also need a set if you get the one way/diff combo.
If you want to sell I would suggest selling it to me. Just kidding!
You would need BST access to sell here!

Yeah, I'm working on getting access. I found a part that fits but they want 30$ for the set.
Re: Schumacher Cat Vintage part
I may have a set I can send you.
I will check tonight.

Re: Schumacher Cat Vintage part
Awesome, hopefully you do. So this locks the front? This car is too fast for me already.

Re: Schumacher Cat Vintage part
In standard form the SWB and XL Cats had a front spool (locked) diff with oneway bearings in the outdrives.
To be rid of oneways you need to add a front ball diff first.

Re: Schumacher Cat Vintage part
Oh! I did not realize it did not have a front diff. My bad. Sorry octet.
