Yokomo 834B Info

Post by nvxwax »

Ok i dont know anything about the 834B cars, I think thats what this car is, it looks to have some custom (home made) parts and modifications on it lol. What can you Yoke experts see from the one pic i have of it.

Im debating what i should do with it, I just got it from eBay and i need another project like i need a hole in the head lol, How hard are parts to source for this model? I have not received it yet...

Well, I'm no expert but I do have one of these. I think they are extremely cool because they're so different! From what I see on yours the shocks are non original, look like associated up front replacing the stock monoshock setup. Rears I don't know, Kyosho maybe? Rear shock tower is non-original also not sure of the make. MSC looks like Tamiya to me. The front bumper is a mystery as well, could be home made. It looks like it should clean up well to me. Good score!

I'm no expert, but it looks to me like:

-- Kyosho Landjump rear shocks
-- Delta rear shock tower/roll bar
-- Delta slipper
-- Hot Trick??? front shock tower
-- Hot Trick??? rear bracket
-- Possibly the original kydex chassis, but someone got creative cutting up the bumper for clearance and it looks rounded on the sides.

Rear shock collars and cups are from Parma (they should be blue anodised)

Thanks, I did not know they came with kydex for the chassis, i also thought the front shock tower looked to well machined to be home made.

lol, it looks like this car may have had a double life lol, looks like a racer originally owned it then was owned by a basher lol.
