Penguin custom bodyshells on Ebay
Has anyone tried these new repro Schumacher shells apearing on ebay from Penguin?
They seem so cheap compared to Kamtec and TBG i just wondered if anyone had bought one of their shells and could vouch for their quality?
Paul.

Hi Paul,
I have been wondering the same thing. Also been wondering if they are making repro's from repro's?

I just ordered myself the Cougar 2 set too. It's only £11.00 including the wing so we'll see if they're any good soon enoughLonestar wrote:

Well to be completely honest, even if they're crap, value for money will still be right up there with the best given the total price, even his S&H rates are more than reasonable... nothing a good paintjob and a rich sticker sheet can't fix anywayCAT3K wrote:I just ordered myself the Cougar 2 set too. Re: Penguin custom bodyshells on Ebay
bought a bosscat set from them (shell, tray and wing) have`nt painted it yet though.
quality wise, the thickness of the lexan is uniform right across the shell (unlike some of the tbg ones i`ve had) the overall finish to the bodyshell has some distortion and is not as good as an original schumacher shell, but will probably look better when painted.

Got my Cougar 2 shell this morning, quick delivery is a bonus. The thickness is good and so is the detail. There are a few imperfections/little blemishes, but not too many.
I thought it was scratched when it first arrived, but it's just scratches on the overspray film.
Overall not bad at all, and for £11... bargain

Re: Penguin custom bodyshells on Ebay
I contacted TBG about this asking him to take a look at this seller.
This is what TBG had to say.
I just checked my sales log and this is only one of the many orders this penguin guy has bought from me ,every body he bought from me he has repro'd weird eh?
if he copied mine his bodies will be too small and have less detail.
Thanks TBG
Attached was the Pay Pal invoice by This Penguin bloke. Can't paste it at this stage.

Penguin bodyshells on Ebay
This is interesting.
I've currently got a TBG undertray and Kamtec bodyshell, which are both very good. I don't have anything from Penguin.
So could these be "repros of a repros"?

Re: Penguin custom bodyshells on Ebay
I didn't realise TBG did a Cougar 2 shell or i'd have ordered from them before now. Previously my only option was Kamtec..
