difference between b2 and b3?

Post by badhoopty »

help me out dudes, i want to build up a b2 runner just for grins. being it was a very short production run actually finding a b2 is hella hard. (i got one n.i.b. but its staying that way...)

i know the b3 is an updated b2, so it makes sense to get a b3 and retro-fit it to b2 specs. i just dont know what the heck the differences are. b2 parts are still all over ebay and tower, so if i got a b3 off the bay what would i need to get to make it a b2?

thx in advance, any help would be much appreciated.

I think that was a bit much coin, but your choice.

The difference was the inner rear wishbone pick-ups were differt, and the rea T plate, and also the front hub carriers. Thats all I think. The B2 was around for a while though wasn't it? :?:

i agree i paid a little much, kinda got a little buyers remorse over it to be honest...

i dont think the b2 was around too long before the b3. but all i know is just from the little bits of info i read here and there. i hardly find b2's on my ebay searches.

I may have some parts, or be able to get some, for it if you need.

i have no idea, from like 1987 to 1999 rc was the furthest thing from my mind so i dont know much about timelines and whatnot. 95% of what i know is from ebay... ;)

its a project, something different to search ebay for hopups and something different to work on. i got b1's and t1's coming out my ears, i need to expand the collection. they gotta be pretty rare since they hardly ever pop up on ebay, i'd imagine most were updated to b3 specs.

if i get some free time today i may poke around ae's website and try to find a timeline.
