Hello, I have a 12-turn limit yokomo esc when using a trinity 12-turn motor I notice the the car will putter at top speeds for the first 2 minutes of a battery on a full charge, but after those first 2-minutes it drives fine. Am I too close to the turn limit?
Possibly if it's a mod motor, but it could be other things causing this. Check the brushes - clean them with a comm stick and make sure you have a proper hood alignment to the motor comm. If they are misaligned, you will see uneven wear on the brushes. If the motor is running too hot, the bushes will be a purplish color and you'll have to pinion down. Hope this helps some.

I am looking for an old esc for a losi jrxt i havr completly rebuilt.... About the nicest looking brushed motor i have is a 13x2 trinity and the only esc i have is a tekin pro tempfet esc and what info i could find on it said keep it above 15 turns...

Any of the Tekin 411g series ESC's will fit the bill. They're super over engineered and have a nice solder pop fuse in case something goes wrong. You can pick them up pretty cheaply too. One of these would work really well too: or this Hope that...
I'd like to install this in my optima mid but I'm at a loss to the turn limit for this speedo. Some people have been assuming it's only for 27t stock which I find a little hard to believe..can anyone help with some definitive info? Can't find...

hmmm
With the lack of info I bench tested a 20T kyosho motor and it seemed fine.
Thanks for the info...any chance uploading a pic of the manual
I just obtained 2 new vintage speed controls. Both are Novak T4 Tempest. Anyone know what the motor limit is on these?

The T4 is absolutely not a no-limit ESC. It's an entry level ESC. I know I ran a modified motor with one back in the day, but I can't remember how many turns it was, probably 15 or 17 turn double if I had to guess. I'd stick to stock motors if...
As the title says, I need a simple speed control to handle my vintage yokomo 14 turn motor. My Novak t1 keeps blowing it's fuse. Again, I have an extremely limited budget but I would still prefer something other than the cheap Chinese speed controls.

You may find a cheaper one on ebay. Possibly a better one if you catch a used one at teh right time.
Well heres the skinny guys and gals, I've had this little esc for ages and it has always worked like a champ until, wait for it..... I put my RC10 up for about ten years. I brought my buggy out of a box! snagged a new 3800 mah battery off of the...

Teman, thanks for the visual.
Gomachv, I fear the old esc is shot maybe. I can't get the motor to stop with the pots and like I have mentioned the motor is going full blast when I plug it to the esc, regardless if the esc is on or not. The nice...
13.5 turn or 17.5 turn brushless for JRX2 upgrade?
What would you go with? Also I was thinking sensorless for my first brushless.
But a fair priced well performing ESC with reverse lockout that can do both sensor or less is what I'd be looking to...

My son's flysky came with the cable, you shouldnt have to purchase it separately. I need to hit their site again, I havent seen the GTB3C yet, no need to look :)
Word on the street is maybe as soon as next week for the new 120A speedo.
Just wanted to get a feel from you guys what you think the best overall gearing would be for a 17T and 19T mod motors? Im only really bashing the truck on asphalt and some dirt. I am using Stealth trans with B4 slipper. Let me know what you think....
Ive been looking for a suitable motor for my rc10 and bought an unknown demon motor. Just opened it and i think it may be a 12x5.
I was hoping it would be more around 17t.
Is 12t too much for a 6 gear transmission? What can they handle?
