i finally tried racing on a carpet oval. went all the way across the state to the west coast (Ft Myers Florida) and raced at a little indoor carpet track. they normally run onroad and offroad as well but once a month [preemptive strike on any once-a-month jokes] they have oval races. i had a few strings of bad luck with my mini slider and in 1/10th open class (ran my 1/10th sprint) i got collected more than a few times by these two sc trucks that had no earthly business being out there.there is no replacement for the feel of orange clay between your toes but that was still a great time.

they had a great group of racers and some very good good racing too. i had to work to get my mini sprint to stop traction rolling, luckily i went over with a fellow club member and he is an old school carpet racer so he gave me a few tips. unfortunately the diff went in the mini slider right when i was trying to make up time. the big sprint ran great, just threw on a set of worn losi IFMAR pins and stock trx rad front tires. didnt even change the setup from what i run on the dirt.
