Yes those white parts are nylon/plastic - I have a feeling that they are the same shims that are used under the front arms of an earlier Associated RC12.... i'll have to check the spacing of the screws...

To do away with these shims, you would have to machine the material off the base of this part, as anything from the top would cause the bearings to potrude & foul the camber link plate. However I'm not sure if machining down the rear bulkhead is the solution... apart from the need for the shims, on my car everything lines up with the top deck being nice & flat - if I machined down the rear bulkhead on my car it would mean that i'd also need to machine down the motor mount & the chassis spacers to avoid fitting shims/spacers between the rear bulkhead cap & the end of the top deck part.

One thing thats interesting with my particular car, not only does the rear shock tower differ in profile to a kit-built 93WCS, but the single hole that picks up on the bulkhead cap fixing (the servo mount bit) appears to have been drilled by-hand as it is not quite central.... so was presumably supplied to the initial builder of my car without the hole in it :!:

Inccidentally - the cut-out (that goes around the rear cap) in my tower has much squarer internal corners, so I could probably remove the spacers from beneath the rear wishbone mounts - along with the washers from beneath the central tower fixing bracket & still have clearance :?:

P.S Car is look real nice with the wing mounted & yellow wheel discs - great work! Looking forward to seeing what you do with your bodyshell - I like your ideas of a later Masami scheme but incorporating the dark green base colour 8)

Thanks Dan, I'll post some pictures of the spacing issues I'm talking about. The easiest solution may be to add a fiberglass spacer under the motor mount.

Some very minor updates to my ever long WCS build.

Replaced all the white ball joints for new ones.

Got the correct suspension kingpins.

and finally from the far East the correct front shock mounts (ZC 204L) 8).

I just need to get the body, wing mounts, correct hubs and titanium screws for the shocks and wheels....

Thanks Dan.

Due to moving and having to put all my Yokomos in the attic space I'm putting this one up for auction in the next few days

Let someone else enjoy her....

I agree with Ralphee on this. This one is your baby. At least wait until you can make a new workspace for yourself...

Yeah, they are TOO rare Alex, and the time and effort in hunting out parts alone would ruin you later, hell, one would have to pry my '94 out of my dead grasp, and thats a stock '94, if i had a Masami, id want armed SWAT guard on the case hehe! Ill look after it for you if you like though buddy, while you ponder it LOL!
