Kyosho Land Jump/Silver Fox/Vanning Help
I am trying to repair a Thunder Tiger Silver Fox, which I believe is the same as a Kyosho Land Jump and Vanning. I am stuck on how to connect the throttle/brake linkages. The manual I have shows a rotor style carburetor, and mine has a slide type (just like photo shown below). If anyone can post some close up photos showing the servo's and linkages to the carburetor and brakes, I would greatly appreciate it.

The Buggy on the picture is a Kyosho Vanning, which doesn´t have much in common with the Thundertiger silver fox.
Which manual are You using?

I have the manual for the Silver Fox Gold Edition. The buggy I own is the Silver fox Green Edition. It looks just like the photo, and shares the slide style carburetor.

Here's a picture of mine. I have the other type of carb that rotates. you'll probably have to fabricate a different linkage system to get it to work for you.

I took another look and I think you can bypass the piece that's attached to the chassis. Green goes to the brake and the red goes to carb....both coming from the servo horn.

Excellent - Thanks highwayracer!!! I will give it a try. I imagine the rubber gasket that seals the box won't work since 2 linkages will need to be routed.
Thanks Again,

Re: Kyosho Land Jump/Silver Fox/Vanning Help
Thinking about it more...here's another option...that might look better. It uses the L shaped horn on the chassis and allows a single rod to exit from the radio bax.

Even better! When I purchased this buggy, all of the linkages were missing, and the throttle/brake servo saver that attaches to the frame was broken. I had considered trying to switch the carb to the rotor style, but haven't had luck locating one. Hopefully I can get this one to work.

Here is a photo of my Green Machine. It was advertised as a Thunder Tiger Silver Fox Green Edition, but I am by no means an expert, so let me know if it's something else. Once I get the servo's repaired, I'm considering the following Green Accents: Powder Coat Frame, Wheels, Anodized Aluminum Servo Horns, Anodize Aluminum Air Cleaner. This has been a fun project so far, I'm very impressed with the chain drive, Aluminum roll cage and suspension.

Re: Kyosho Land Jump/Silver Fox/Vanning Help
Found this photo on classic.rc.junkies.net, and it shows a clear image of the throttle/brake linkages. Very close to earlier suggestions. Thanks again for all inputs and help on this.

Re: Kyosho Land Jump/Silver Fox/Vanning Help
Kyosho Fans - i thought you might like seeing the Silver Fox after restoration photo's. I upgraded to gold shocks, so decided to keep the theme going with the frame. Other new parts include: Servo links, tires, chrome brackets, air filter assembly, muffler and gas tank. Everything was cleaned, and assembled wtih stainless screws . The engine was gummed up, but now turns freely with great compression. From what I can see, this buggy did not see much run time.
