Cat 2000 Shell (upright shocks) +motor plate question

Post by RickRick »

Anyone know where i can get a shell for the upright shock first cat 2000, the laydown ones are a rubbish fit!

Also does anyone know which of the cats2000's used the purple motor cooling plate rather than the red one

I understand these are reasonable reproductions, although the shape doesn't quite look right to the original?;

You can get still an original shell from Schumacher direct : http://www.racing-cars.com/sp/category/Old_Cars_and_Parts/subcategory/CAT_2000/templateid/12/searchbox7/Bodyshells_and_Decals.html

No point in getting a repro when you can have the real thing :) Although I'm not sure what variant they have in stock, might be worth an email?

Paul.

I've seens the ones from racing-cars but i think they are to fit laydown shock cars, as there the same part number as the cat98 one on there.
i see what you mean about the repro not looking quite right around the rear shock tower area, but that's got to be better than the hacked up thing i've got, another undertray and wing won't go amiss either
