So that's 5? Oh good, I only have 3... guess my problem isn't as bad as I thought.
I'm jealous of those wheels. I have one set of Monster Beetle gold wheels, and all the rest are those silly yellow plastic ones. Good for nostalgia, I guess, but just as ugly as they were in 1987.

There's more of them around.. Those wheels are my weakness. All the blackfoots i think have one of those wheels each just not yet installed. I'll look for the pics.

nice trucks....im a big fan of the blackfoot and super blackfoot(bush devil too)..i really like how you can mix parts and they have the same body mounts.. its really great that you can still get the lexan body for the blackfoot .they even have the dimples in the lexan to drill the holes in the stock spot (love stuff like that). i had 3 king blackfoots and sold them, very nice trucks but they had alot of off beat parts that were not interchangeable with my collection of superblackfoot/blackfoot parts and bodies. growing up most people had grasshopper/hornet or frog/brat if they wanted a buggy. lunchbox/midnight pumpkin or blackfoot/monsterbeetle if they wanted a truck..the frog/brat or blackfoot/monsterbeetle just seemed like more of the racers choice and the rcs to own.. in fact if you raced trucks the blackfoot was thee truck to own (untill they made rc10 truck conversions and jrxts).. people were spending over $500 on race blackfoots.. i remember my dad spent alot of $$ on my frog.. i got the frog cause i saw my cousin driving his and had to have one.. later on my uncles friend got a blackfoot and seeing it full of mud made me really want one. we got a lexan blackfoot body, parma body mount kit and some brat wheels and tires and made are own blackfoot.. ive owned a bunch of frogs/brats/monsterbeetles/blackfoots/. all different set ups from blackfoots with frog inner spring front shocks (looks like no shocks) to monster beetles with frog transmissions running the biggest pinion you can and a mod motor making it so fast i hit a bump in the road at top speed and totaled it.. sorry for the long rant i just really like talking about blackfoots and the other tamiyas like them
Blackfoot light runner a while back.... Right now it sits inside the cabinet... :D
Might repaint it sometime...Not to happy with the paint it has right now..
The Tamiya....not related to the cold weather. In search for a couple vehicles for my 4 and 6 year old to learn driving on, I stumbled upon a box of vehicles on the local craigslist. They were all radio shack except for an original blackfoot. Its...

Thanks for the history and info. All great stuff. I started pulling this thing apart and I wrongly assumed the shocks were the friction type, when they are indeed Yellow CVA shocks from the 1980s. I was also shocked to find some bearings in this...
With the exception of the original's scale OEM grille, it looks like a Blackfoot restoration should be pretty easy now.
Blackfoot 3 is due in Aug. w/original appearing hard plastic Ford Stepside body. :D

I dont think they will or they would have done it already. The Brat and Frog chassis have been out for awhile now.
Just won this on ebay. I'm very partial to the Blackfoot since it was the first real RC I had. This one needs some work but parts seem to be still pretty common for these. I bought this to help ease the pain over my Super Champ mishap. Haven't...

I agree, it screams for some wheels. And I do have what you need.
Love the tranny buy the way. Very rare peice of equipment!
Hi all. Great board here, been picking up a ton of good tips. Names Dave, from central KY. Had gotten a used Blackfoot back in the late '80's / early '90's. Way fairly used then, managed to get it up and running. Borrowed a charger and ran it a very...

Man this thing is fun!! When I first got it back together it would not hardly run in the grass. Now, it just goes and goes! Not sure if these will pull the fronts off the ground, but this one will come close as it sits now. Also found 2 and 2/3 rd's...
