RC flight simulators? Toe in the water...
So I have thought of getting one of these for a while but the ones in the hobby store I think were over $100. I saw this one on hobbypartz's site and its a great deal, too good to be true? Is it junk?

I bought a Futaba FASST 7c transmitter for a Kyosho blizzard project as the extra channels will come in handy, but it also would be great to get a heli someday and this Futaba radio is suited for that....

I don't know anything about that one, but I am still using Realflight 4.5. It's a little outdated now, but still a very good sim. I would think you could pick one up pretty cheap. Then you can download tons of planes, heli's, and flying sites for free from the knife edge forum. You can also use your transmitter with it. IIRC it includes the proper trainer chord for your radio, if not it can be purchased separately.

Ah that would be great. I read in the instruction manual about the trainer cord for mine so if I can use that and still be able to use my actual radio with the simulator, I would be thrilled.justinspeed79 wrote:I don't know anything about that one, but I am still using Realflight 4.5. Yeah, that's the idea you use your actual transmitter to fly the sim. Although that point may be moot, because the Interlink Elite controller that comes with RF4.5 is actually a Futaba controller that is virtually identical to the 7c.

Got into helis a while back and bought the Phoenix sim with a Dx5e. I have since bought a Dx6i and got a mCPX for Xmas.
Almost bought that same setup you listed, but got some R/C money with the sale of a crawler I never used so I bought the expensive sim.
