I don´t think Schumacher did a Porsche. They did some wide 4wd 1/10 touring on the BossCat platform and some 2wd on the WildCat platform. Never seen a Porsche though.

Yeah, they did.... 911 Turbo SE was available on the 2wd Cougar platform like the the Sierra RS4x4 was available on the ProCat 4wd platform. Available as electric and also as a Nitro 10 noisy beast. There's a good chance that the body was a Parma job, as most of the other tourers in the range at that time were (as was the Shotgun).

I have a review of the RS4x4, stating that the 911SE was being released at the same time, in the June / July 1991 issue of Aussie rc mag Dirt and Track, so that would be roughly when it was available.

Hope that helps.... it's one of the few Schumacher manuals that I do not have in my collection as yet.

There was a Cougar 1 based version and then a Cougar 2 based version, i don't think they were particularly popular though. There's a couple on Tamiya club if you're after pics.

That's a lot of help, as I have the manual and was planning on building a shelf queen as I not only like rc cars but Porsches as well so win win. I was going to ask about the shell but I have my answer and have found a brand new Parma shell

Thanks ryan :D

Ryan,

Any chance you can get a scan done of the manual? I would really like to add it to my collection......

Look forward to watching this build!

I know its really a cougar with add ons, but is this listing below an Sierra RS Cossie 4x4 or a 911......... I was just going by the body mounts.

4x4 was based on the ProCat... judging by the shocks, non-Schumacher turnbuckles and plastic gear cashing, I'd say a Club10 mk2 Escort Cosworth, Mondeo, Alfa 155, Opel Calibra, or Merc C-Class.

Yes that's a club 10, the porsche ( early car ) has fibre glass mounts for the body that mount over the gearbox

Hope this helps

Ryan,

I have already scanned the manual, so that's available to e-mail (PDF format).... I'll do the review today, and get it up into the scan archives if I can.
