XX Blue Front Bumper
I picked this up from Dan @ Sabulatech a little while back and was just wondering about its origin. It's injection molded and is definitely well made, it's also stiffer than the stock bumper for about the same thickness. Anyone have any ideas as to who made it as there is no branding on it? Were any other colours produced?
Thanks for any information you can provide.

Ha, that thing came back to haunt me again. I had that thing in a box for over a year and a half and couldn't figure out the brand. So i just gave up and threw it up on the store as unknown.

Re: XX Blue Front Bumper
AHHHHH, I always forget about the Duratrax Evader(XX) and Losi letting them copy.
I just ordered up a few other Evader parts to see how compatible they are. Some are obviously not, like the front bulkhead, that is huge shame.

Does this include the front suspension arms? It would be great to know if they fit or can be made to work....

Re: XX Blue Front Bumper
I know the xxt and duratrax front body mount are dead ringers.
xx and evader chassis are totally different. I have a NOP one here if anyone wants it.

Re: XX Blue Front Bumper
I ordered the front buggy arms, so we shall see in a few days. Geometry on the arms looks to be a little different. Definitely a different design to them as far as structure.LosiXXkid wrote:Does this include the front suspension arms? Losi was already moving on and no patent on design most likely. Also, lawyers are expensive.Rich Trujillo wrote:I wouldn't say we let them copy LOL...not sure why we didn't go after them on that modelmytimac wrote:AHHHHH, I always forget about the Duratrax Evader(XX) and Losi letting them copy.

Re: XX Blue Front Bumper
Ok, well that was a huge fail.
I guess I can say i took one for the team.
I bought the Evader buggy arms and buggy wing mount.
Neither of them will work correctly.
The buggy arms are totally different design and the hinge pins holes are too small.
The wing wire is shorter and smaller diameter, so I wouldn't trust the wire to stay put when you ran it.
I also got the Evader front truck mount and that is not real great either.
The holes on the XX are spaced farther apart. I suppose if you are desperate it would be ok with some work.
I also bought some black bumpers, they fit perfectly just like the blue one posted earlier.
