Vintage Serpent Cobra buggy

I picked this up with another car.

I gave it a clean and under the grime it is in pretty good nick, albeit missing quite a few bits.
It's a Serpent Cobra buggy from the mid-eighties. I understand it is pretty rare. Any idea what it is worth?

I got on before less than 3 years ago, more complete than this and it cost me less than USD120 (shipping included) on the bay

Still not vintage, but anyway... Even if this is no news to some of you guys, here is a little note along the line of the CAT K1 post ( My guess then was no 4WD shaft drive and gear diff to take over the race winning tradition of Schumachers...

I'm thinking about purchasing a Serpent F110 (1/10th scale F1) kit. I'm not too familiar with Serpent quality as the last Serpent car I drove was ~15 yrs ago. Can anyone tell me if Serpent still builds a quality product as the price tag is premium...

The car was a local team drivers and was built with the rps conversion, delta shocks. I cant remember his name but I think it was Jim Slivay not sure.... in any case...

Well here we are.

Finally.. i got this one, it was long and hard to find.

1/8 Chassis SERPENT 988e Taipan.
4 x 4 pancar type.
Ref# 905001

This chassis will be the subject of all my attention while waiting to find a second one to possibly ride...
