GPM STEERING ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION?!

Post by Rc10boi »

Has anyone purchased and installed a steering assembly from GPM?? Having trouble with the install. GPM parts don't look like the stock ones. :?:

Pictures of what you have? I can only find the steering for a GT, and they look the same as stock only alum.

Not sure what the two posts on the bottom are for. But the it should install fairly similar.

Install the bushing in the top and bottom of the arms. Slide them over the two flanges post with the flange on the bottom. Then bolt to the chassis as normal.

Ok but what about the spring and lock above the servo arm? It adjusts the tension on the servo arm
Please look at # 4 on the instructions manual. That's what I have.

That serves as a servo saver function. The GPM unit is fixed and you would need to run a servo saver on your servo if you still wanted to run one.

If you're doing any sort of hard driving especially with a plastic gear servo you would need one of these.

Sorry for the late reply but thank you for your help. I'll visit my hobby store and get one of those servo savers! :D

Bringing this back from the dead. Since this thread is so old, I believe I may have the same parts? I can’t find anything online about this part. GPM RGT048 Alloy Bearing Steering Assembly, which came new in package with a used rc10gt blue chassis that I got. There are no instructions online, and can’t figure out what the two larger standoffs are for, and they don’t fit anything. Anyone have a photo of this installed??
