RC10 DS front End Parts Availability
How hard is it to find RC10DS front end parts? The AE database still lists front bulkheads (front suspension mounts) but does not list the front arms. Other items are interchangeable with the original RC10 and are still available (30 degree caster blocks, spindles, etc.).
I am thinking of putting a DS based front end on a pan car (not original, it's been done before), but I don't want to do it if parts will be scarce.
Thanks,
Bob

I thought they were pretty much the same except for the tower and shocks. I just thumbed threw the manual and I am not sure. Looks like the arms and definitely the nose plate are different. Someone here should have a solid answer.

Re: RC10 DS front End Parts Availability
I'm not sure if the DS ever sold well. It seems like it may they may be unsupported parts due to lack of demand. Two different versions of what I want to do ...
Another option seems to be the front arms off of the Losi 18th scale 2WD platform, but I would still have to come up with custom mounting blocks for independent adjustibility. Castor blocks and hinge/king pin diameter could also be an issue....

Keep me posted on your findings, please. I have a couple projects that will have narrow front ends and I am looking for an acceptable solution. I have a few worked out but would like more options.

Re: RC10 DS front End Parts Availability
it's all different, the front bulkhead blocks, shock tower, shocks, a arms and there are little shock mounting parts on the a arms, and the spindles are a little different but I think a standard spindle assembly would work. I have a NDS that is next to new that I may be willing to part out if you're interested.
