any of you fellas young enough to have played Duke Nukem 3D by Apogee?
I loved that game! Might be a silly question, but what did he actually do for RC? If he wrote / programmed Duke Nukem, I'm already impressed. Sad to hear of anyone passing away

the Brits probably know him better in person as oOple organised annual races etc afaik plus the website
yeah in his previous life he was the first Pom hired at Apogee and lived a few years in the States. Was an artist on the Nukem team, supposedly handdrew the exploding fuel drum animation pixel by pixel...
Saddest news in a long time among the RC community. Jimmy was a great creative guy, full of humor and sympathy. I will really miss his reports on oOple! R.I.P. Jimmy, I'll be thinking about you next time I fire up my RC10.

I followed Jimmy Johnson back when he was an announcer for ESPN2 doing S.O.D.A. Racing and then when he became a driver. How is it possible that finding images of his truck are so hard. i remember S.O.D.A. did have a web site even with driver bios....

Leave it to a San Diego Guy...this book is readily available, note Section 1 skips over his rise to the top through the 50cc ranks  Cover.JPG pg9.JPG pg13.JPG pg14.JPG pg15.JPG pg16.JPG
I just joined over at oOple because ever once in a while I see manuals shown here, so I thought I'd like to see what all they have but can't seem to find the selection on the home page. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Google advanced search is the best way to search ANY site for info you're looking for. It's far superior to any resident site search engine.
I'm having trouble getting logged in at Oople.
They have a password reset , but it's protected with a question wich does not make any sense to me at all:
Ferrari, Ford and Lexus are all CAR MANUFACTURERS - but Tamiya makes R/C cars. Type their name...

I thought their reflected on r/c cars
I can see where you're coming from - you're just way too smart for an anti-bot system
We held the 3rd oOple Race in the UK at Robin Hood Raceway / RHR Dirt at the end of July and ran a vintage race that I thought you guys might like. The main oOple video is here: (there's some onboard footage from 2:30 and its just after that)...

Thanks for posting...was that a Shadow leading the later half of the race?
RC10 Team car led the whole way I believe :)
The thread about the race is here though with a bit more info:
PS. My apologies for posting this in the wrong section -...
