Mat's World's ReRe - Build #1 - Display

Just building a box stock, per the manual World's ReRe. Hope to put it up on the shelf next to my original Worlds. Although the latter has seen significant track time back in the day, still has the dirt in the crevices. lol.

Anyway with the ReRe build kit, everything went really easy until the transmission of course. I couldn't even get the two halves fit together at all. With some twisting and squeezing, I did fit it together w/ the wheels and it was so bound it was ridiculous.

So if I was to do the typical transmission fix for the ReRe, the parts I need are the 6565 case and the 6570 idler? Do I need the 6571 topshaft?

Mind you I still have 3 other kits so I want to stock up on parts while I can "in case" (get it? haha) I have issues w/ the other kits.

AE was kind enough to drop a new transmissions case and idler in the mail. I also ordered 2 of each for the cases, idlers, and topshalf to keep as spares. Hopefully that will allow me to finish my Display build.

Really liking the new shocks and CVAs. Good for the ReRe while the rest of the car went together pretty easily. I need to figure out which tires to put on the car and get a body for it.

Then I can get the side-by-side with my Original...

This design still looks SOOOOOO good even after ca. 30yrs. that it's shocking
