B44 shock question

any of you guys that have one, could you let me know the lengths of the front and rear shocks? from the center of the shock cap hole to the center of hole in the rod end, fully extended.

The shock bodies are 0.16" longer in the rear and 0.18" longer in the front, the use 1.02" shafts in the rear and 0.71" shafts in the front. I would imagine that if you just added the extra shock body length to an existing set of 1.02" rear shocks and 0.71" front shocks that would get you the measurements you're looking for. I just cracked the seal and started to assemble my B44 that I bought about two years ago, and I'm having problems with the threaded shock collars.

The collars simply will not thread on to the shock bodies. I tried putting some oil on the threads...

I have diff inconsistency issues rather than broken gears (which would be explained perfectly by the locked slipper).

For setup, well, the key setup thing is that you setup the diffs off the car first,...

Hope I’m ok to post this here. Hard to find the below parts wondering if anyone can help? Another question about the CVA as well: I have a ASC 9911 - B44.2 center/rear CVA bone could I just get a longer dog bone (I.e. just the dog bone from a B44)...

So, I got a nice t4 that was run on road from what I could tell. Been sourcing some decent stuff to get it into “truck” form again. So, it came with the stock shocks. Not bad units, but I was hoping to add some newer big bores possibly. I could not...

So I started in building a T2 that I got NIB . It is, in fact, mostly NIB, except for the rear shocks. Looks like someone took the original rear shock parts out, and dropped in a set of pretty well used ones.

they could be a number of different manufacturers, but are probably losi or traxxas, both have larger spring diameters than associated.

if the spring rates are close to right for your truck, there is no real issue running different spring...

so when associated lists their shocks they give a length i.e. .56 .89 1.02 etc. is this length of the shocks stroke? or something else?

secondly, which rc10's used which lengths?

It's the length of available stroke inside the shock body or of the shock shaft. You'll notice on the B4/T4 that the shock bodies are a little longer (1.18 vs 1.02 for example). That's to give the piston room at the top of it's stroke ensuring it...

I picked up a Cougar KC recently (love it!) and was wondering if the u4209 alloy vented shock caps would fit my shocks?
Not a big fan of the stock plastic ones, my 22X4 improved greatly when I upgraded it's shock caps to the alloy vented ones....

would the b4 front shocks be too long for the front of a yz10?

Anybody know if any of the Losi shocks would be a good fit for the 870/YZ-10? Front and Rear. Those stock Yoke shocks are the one part of the car that I really dislike!
