Shapeways shipping cost?

Post by Jools »

Does anyone know of a local supplier?
I was interested in just 4 little wheel castle to 12mm hex adaptors, but was shocked at the price of postage... more than the parts themselves.

Do you know anyone local to you with a 3d printer? That's a pretty simple part to model. Maybe someone local can print you a set real quick.

I had the same experience Jools... purchased a Mini Mustang bumper mount and wing mount, those two relatively small parts cost US$15 to post to Australia.... however, you have to take that, as the parts are pretty much unobtanium without a big pile of luck (and usually, money!) finding original parts!

Those Schumacher hex adapters are a bit different, in that they were not readily available back in the day, so have to be made.... but fair to say I could use knowing a mate who did this sort of thing locally!!

Another one of those project paths I would love to try..... but when I stand on the edge of that rabbit-hole and look down, the blue pill becomes far more enticing

Yes it's probably a good case for a group-buy (if enough people want them).
