BORMAC's XLS

Post by Bormac »

Another car Ive been desperate to finish thats taken me ages to get done. For the most part this car is a Procat but runs a saddle pack XLS chassis with an XLS body and undertray. Not quite done but I intend to race this in an up and coming vintage meet.

Damn Jason.. That is just so hot! One of my favorite ever cars - they just don't make buggies that good looking anymore.

Get a Wing on her and take some more pics dude. :)

A shame Shumie didn't have a bigger presence here in the US, that's some sweet stuff. I recall a local club racer "oddball" that did run Schumacher, but with no LHS support it really made no sense here.

Nice machine sir.

I actually have some Shumie stuff, but it's limited to some offroad tires (tyres...) and a few 1/12th bits. You chaps have some awesome cars.

Yes I have spoken with James before. It would be awesome to have you guys come down for this vintage meeting, its shaping up to be a good one for sure. Im certain Antony,Alex,Darryn and a few others will be coming up from down south too. I was out at the track on Saturday running my 501X and caught up with Scott Hogan down there too ( a fellow vintage Schumacher friend).
Ive been puting the invite out there to have people come stay at mine but by then I think we will have moved on to another new -much smaller- house.Lets just see what happens as it gets closer. Last year was awesome,Ant brought his PIT TRAILER and about 30 vintage cars. We set our cars on display and it was blowing people away with all the old girls. This year will be huge with many people coming out of the wood work with some great old cars.

That looks like a ProCat undertray and an XLS body..

The ProCat trays are still available from Schumacher new, and are not expensive.. The XLS shells do get repro'd from time to time by Schumacher but supply is limited and you would probably get 50 bucks for it...
