JRX Pro SE New built with #8042 Shell
JRX Pro SE New built with #8042 Shell
Hi All,
As a follow up to the discussions on Junior 2/JRX Pro SE shell options, attached is my JRX Pro, built from parts to virtually SE spec - the eagle-eyed will spot the wrong wheels!
Anyway, the Losi #8042 XXL shell fits fantastically, just ignore the lower cut lines. These shells are officially discontinued by Horizon, but I have found a few over the last year in various hobby shops.
I hope you like it

Nice.
I have that same project in the works. I am going for the 5 link rear suspension though. Do you think this body sits high enough for the 5 link side bulkheads to clear?

It's just stock JRX stuff underneath David.. all shiny and new though!
No, I didn't do the paint on this one, it was done by fellow RC Racer mag contributor Steve Brooke.. I bought it off him for a great price! I must get him on this forum as i reckon he has the UK's biggest collection of NIP '10 spares - like I mean BOXES of NIP gold shock bodies
Mr. bngiles - the 5 link should clear - obviously you'll have to trim the back of the shell to clear the links, but it might just go. the great thing is these shells are so much easier to find than JRX-2 and JRX-Pro lids.

Rapidly becoming the same as the X2 and Pro bodies, if not already there, here in the US.hkp wrote:the great thing is these shells are so much easier to find than JRX-2 and JRX-Pro lids.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

That is sad to hear I remember going into a hobby shop about 3/4 years ago and seeing a stack of about 10 of these shells (and 8008s and XXTs).mrlexan wrote:

When I asked about them again recently, the owner said he binned them all as even at £5 ($10) he couldn't shift them...

Re: JRX Pro SE New built with #8042 Shell

Re: JRX Pro SE New built with #8042 Shell
Yup i'll get some topless pics done The tower is a stock JRX Pro SE..
Still not decided on whether I like the shocks on the front or back of the rear tower....

Re: JRX Pro SE New built with #8042 Shell
What length front shocks are you running on the front of your SE? Are they the .6" or the .9"? Hopefully .9, as I have a set of those.... I looked at the parts listing, and it called for .6" in the front. Is that correct????

Re: JRX Pro SE New built with #8042 Shell
I really like the paint jobs on your cars Tom and this is no exception
Re: JRX Pro SE New built with #8042 Shell
Thanks Ed! I am a stickler for a pretty buggy it must be said...
The shocks are the same length as the XX.. Shorter than a Pro.. I'm guessing .9 as they are not as short as a Junior 2 or JRX2.. I may be corrected on this though...

Re: JRX Pro SE New built with #8042 Shell
standard buggy fronts on the SE = .6, that is what is on mine anyways.
