I'm a fan of the Associated 8th scale vehicles and this looks to be based off their latest RC8 buggy. Glad to see some new stuff coming out:

So I've started to get back into RC with rebuilding my RC10 Black Stealth CE and decided to look at what's available at my local hobby shops. It seems that everything is RTR/prebuilt now a days. One of my favorite parts of RC was building the car up...

I had initially planned on rehabbing a pretty shabby T3 into something nice. However I had an ebay seller agree to sell me a very nice condition T3 RTR.

Just ran across these. Looks like Team Associated's trying to make the most out of their SC10/RTR plan. Tower shows the brushless versions at $225/$230.

Finally got around to adding the electronics and running around on the street. I thought the speed control would pop at any minute... it could have cooked a side of beef. I've run it five times with variety of gear ratios and the esc keeps taking...

Its kinda hard to tell the color of the motor can in the pic, but if it is a reddish/florescent red then it is a 16 triple (speed gems ruby). If it is more of a florescent orange can, then it is an 11 triple (speed gems topaz).

Dug out my sons B4.2 this weekend. Switched out the stock motor and electronic speed controller for an extra Novak combo I had sitting around. I would like to get a new body for this. Anyone have a line on bodies for this thing. The pre painted body...

I got a new Associated B4.2 RS RTR and my boy got a new associated T4.2 RS RTR.

My boy's truck will go in reveres most of the time but not all and my buggie will not go in reveres at all.

Are these radios junk, should I look into something else?...

You may need to play with trims, or adjust neutral range.

There's nothing wrong with the XP2 or XP3 2.4 GHz systems, they're actually pretty decent for RTR stuff. Certainly not as good as a Futaba or Airtronics, but not bad.

looking for suggestions on beginning racing buggies. Looks like the Losi 8ight is pretty good but needs a few upgraded parts. But for $500 not bad.
