I built this tiny Tamiya Lunchbox tribute out of a Hot Wheels Super Van recently. Thought I'd share some pics just for fun.

Here is my completely resto'd 80's Lunchbox.

I rebuilt this before the re-releases from eBay parts lots, and NIB parts, pretty much everything looks brand new excpet the body which had a few roll over scratches when i got it.

This is a 1/12 Racemaster that originally came with the Rothmans Porsche body. I had a vision of somehow mounting a lunchbox van body on it but never did because, even though the wheelbase was perfect, it was going to take alot of work to make it...

There is a lot of canvass here, what custom rigs would be cool? So far I have thought of vanessa's off road racing team, zombie apocalypse van, the a team, and a GM parts direct van.

I was thinking about doing a rusted out pedo van but I like Shodog's contractor's van. I think a scale ladder from some of those wrestling figures might do the trick.

After watching me build my Monster Beetle and her Older sister building her Grasshopper, my youngest daughter decided she wanted her own tamiya kit, the other kit at the hobby shop....The Lunchbox....we couldn't spray the new body due to the cold...

how about some Moon covers? Y'know the brushed aluminum disc wheelcovers used in the 60's/70's and still used on bonneville cars?

i got this from my buddy at the swap meet. paid only $150 for it!!

its a 1974 M-4 tank,1/16 scale. dual 380 motors , brass tracks (think they are brass)
has a single stick 3 channle radio , MRC electrics. tank works, but all the bushings need...
