Team Losi GTX

Post by Dangeruss »

In 1995 Team Losi joined Traxxas and Associated in the world of 1/10 2wd nitro stadium trucks with the release of the GTX. Based heavily on the LX-T the new GTX used the entire front end including the bulkhead, lower a-arm and adjustable camber link front suspension, bellcrank steering, fiberglass plate shock tower and even the body mount from the outgoing LX-T in addition to its rear h-arms (flipped left to right), adjustable camber links, and hub carriers out back. A GTX specific rear bulkhead and fiberglass plate rear shock tower was installed as were Losi's Hard Body, teflon coated, oil-filled aluminum coilover shocks with adjustable collars, also from the LX-T. The GTX would however receive its own chassis consisting of a narrow black anodized aluminum lower plate with 30-degree kickup and molded composite plastic top deck, the latter designed to reinforce the steering system and isolate the plastic fuel tank from engine vibrations produced by the Dynamite TNT .12R motor with its Super Rod and Super-Seal front bearing, O-ringed low-speed needle with updated taper, rubber header, and aluminum tuned pipe. Power would be sent through a XX style, 3 gear, ball-diff transmission with two stage clutch, slipper, and drum brake via 32-pitch pinion and spur and output via steel axles with universals joints. Disk style 2.2 truck wheels with Gold Mini Pin rear tires and HT Ribbed front tires spun on a full set a bearings. A new lexan nitro stadium truck body topped the kit off which was available in four unassembled configurations including three Pro kits with bearings; one with a pull start engine, one with a non-pull start engine and one with no engine, as well as one standard kit with bushings and a pull start engine, all four less electronics and radio systems:
