OOPS... I DID IT AGAIN...
There I was...
Just minding my own business (looking for stuff to pounce on) and this little guy started calling my name.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=160257028430&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=006
I've been having a hard time finding NOS white parts. I have come to realize; it is so much easier to just get the whole truck; cheaper in the long run, too.
Why am I so enthralled by the old school white parts?
I hope there's no subliminal message hidden there somewhere.

yer lucky... i had a 350 buck snipe on that up until the last couple hours. the only reason i canceled it was because it wasnt a team truck. (and i've spent way too much money on the nats...)vintagerctech wrote:There I was...

Killer buy. Very cool. The old school white parts have quite a grip on me too. must be the MSG. so is this going to be a runner or a shelfer?

Shelfer..
All these little guys become relegated to "supreme shelf" commader duty.
I emailed the gardencityrc fellow about the rest of the white parts, notice the arms are black. He assured me "she is all white."
Guess that means he must have the arms elsewhere. I hope.
This is the last one I was looking for, GT wise. I'll post pictures as soon as I receive it. BTW, its not a "she", this is my new little guy.

I was second in line, sorry for running up the price. I saw it and just thought to myself, I couldn't let it go for what it was at during the last few hours.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Re: Shelfer..
I was hoping to hear that. I hate to see the unused ones turn into runners. Now, if they have a few runs and scratches on 'em, that's a different story. Hope he does have all the white parts... that body is awesome.vintagerctech wrote:All these little guys become relegated to "supreme shelf" commader duty.

Re: OOPS... I DID IT AGAIN...
$155.27 with shipping is a steal, I wasn't about to do $350.00 for it, maybe $275.00.
Were there many upgrades to the team truck?
I did purchase this other little guy recently... I can justify this one.
Two piece chassis Veteq, unassembled and New In Box:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330250554950&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=014
He had originally listed the car for $750 with a $1000.00 BIN, the car didn't sell.
I emailed an offer and he relisted with the offer as the minimum bid. Why would he want to pay paypal fees? Or ebay, for that matter?

Re: OOPS... I DID IT AGAIN...
temple would be able to tell ya the diff between the team and sport. i just pretty much talked myself out of it since it had gold shocks.
(and i have no buisness spending money on a shelfer right now)
damn good deal though. nice to know its not going to get used.
i definitely wanna pick up an old gt one of these days. i can remember bitd buying a kit for parts and dying the plastic immediately...

Re: OOPS... I DID IT AGAIN...
Team trucks used one piece wheels, grey shocks, ball bearings. Hope you get the white arms (bummer about the missing brake parts and white throttle servo wheel). White GT's are awesome.
Here's my admittedly still filthy uber early 7060 Team Truck:

what is wrong with people...
Here is what I wrote, before bidding:
Dear gardencityrc,
do you have the white front and rear arms?
are the bearing carriers white?
yes, I'm looking for an all white gt, thanks.
Dean
- vintagerctech
His response:
Dear vintagerctech,
She is all white. Thanks, Brian
I asked a simple question, and I got a blind answer....
I could tell the arms in the pictures were black. He should have just said look at the pictures, I don't remember.
What feedback should I give him?

Even with the black arms the rest of the white stuff appears unused, I'd say you got a fair deal. Still kind of weasely on the seller's part.

Re: OOPS... I DID IT AGAIN...
I have four sellers I haven't given any feedback to.
I have a hard time giving people negative feedback.
I do agree, the truck is pretty nice. I will be keeping it, it does have some hard to find parts.
Oh, and the windows are completely cut out, as well.

Re: OOPS... I DID IT AGAIN...
That's a sweet deal right there. Very nice score indeed!
Looks like the only white parts you are missing is the arms. Just get some white arms to complete the package. The brake parts you are missing are still available new, and haven't changed at all since then, so those will be easy to replace. You're lucky the white plastic hex is still on there, because that would not be easy to replace. Did you get the clutch with it? If so, did it have the spring with it? Another cool bit to look for on there would be the thrust bearing. I'm guessing that one probably has the bushing, but you never know until you look.
That spur gear is the real gem on that truck though. I would just about kill someone to get my hands on one of those LOL......
Very sweet indeed. Please post some more pics of it when you get a chance.

If I seem a little overdemanding...
Its because, I really love my GT's.
Here's a couple more I'm working on:
