well.... i guess when associated was designing the 10t, that's what the need to do with the noseplate to get the suspension geometery they were looking for. so they narrowed it up. mainly, an attempt to have 4 equal length a-arms.

i'd bet web steve could get a better answer though.

The one on top is a truck nose plate. The other is a buggy nose plate. Hope that help.

I could easily bury this in the 2.2 thread but I felt the benefits were more then just running 2.2's. As we all know, modern cars run wider arms than the older car. The arms are all equal length now. The older car ran shorter arms in front with even...

I finally got around to loading those new rear racer arms into Shapeways. They are quite pricey since they've got a lot of material in them but they should be strong.

These duratrax maximum BX rear wheels look like a perfect alternative for the 2.0 wide offset wheels found on turbo ultima , optima mid custom sepecial and everything inbetween.

I think I saw an exploded view showing hexes also.. but are they 12 mm...

The fronts don't have a space to put bearings. I think they are good for the front of an RB5 but too narrow for the ZX5 and other 4wd's.

Hi all,

I know there are multiple threads about wider arms and what CVDs to use, here's me question:

I have narrow cut (rpm kit) tub with truck nose plate the long rpm arms front and back.

Combined with HPI super stars in the rear it seem a bit...

For that pic. So, I have a tub cut down to the Rpm width, with the rom mounts just like your RPM chassis.

Now, has anyone here added wider arms to reach max legal or Nix width?

hey, welcome to site. off the top of my head, i can't think of any wider wheel/tire combo that's readily available. i would try putting 30 degree castor blocks up front, and 0 degree rear a-arm mounts and hub carriers on the back. that should help...
