I've been researching a mono shock setup for my current one off project car (Optima) but this levered setup you've concocted looks promising.

I saw this item while perusing the cool stuff on this website. Is it an original design (my guess) or is it based on a little known hop up that came out in the early 80's?

The Optima Mid transmission can only share the diff gear from the Ultima. All the rest of the gears are optima mid only. Ive been eyeing this conversion; they could also have called it a 2wd conversion for the Optima Mid, 😝. I mean, it looks like it uses more Optima Mid than Ultima components! Anywa...
