Re: GoMachV’s migration East

Congrats buddy. Glad you found a house over there that works for you. I don't blame you for wanting to leave the Portland area. It's getting a little nuts up there.

Cobra Moto-Smooth

Recently acquired this in a collection I bought. I've only ever seen their com lathes and tire lathes. Never heard of one of these. Searched for a while and came up with nothing. Some kind of motor conditioner. Seems to work fine, not sure of what it was supposed to accomplish.

Team Checkpoint and Saiko Motors

Picked these up yesterday with a collection I purchased. Not familiar with any of them. I was able to find some info on Team Checkpoint motors. Silver one is a platinum maybe? Not sure about the blue label one, but I noticed it has the more common style of brushes. I could find nothing on the Saiko ...

FOUND: 1997 IEDA World Championship Winning Drag Car

An older gentleman wandered into my local racetrack the other day asking about anyone interested in buying an old rc drag car collection. I jumped at the chance, of course, and met him at his house after the race day ended. The man's name was Ben Laureano. He told me tales of winning drag races bitd...

Re: "Just a Slash" No Prep Drag Car

I haven't done an update on this post in a while, so it's time to catch up a little. I've been making steady changes to the car. It's currently using an Extreme carbon fiber chassis. After burning up 2 Hobbywing g2's within 3 days, I made the switch to a Tekin Rx8. Couldn't seem to get the revs I wa...

Buggyra Euro Truck

The Euro Truck class is gaining popularity fast at my local racetrack. I picked this up earlier this week and will start racing it this weekend. Pretty cool class. Cheap to get into it too. I already had servo, radio and transponder from other vehicles. The kit, battery, optional silver wheels and a...

Hobbywing XR10 Pro G2 Failure

I've been using various Hobbywing esc's for a couple years now and have been a big fan of their products. My No prep street eliminator drag car is powered with the latest hobbywing XR10 Pro G2 with the wifi module I purchased and installed it less than 3 months ago and absolutely loved it. It's powe...

yes, the double yellow. They offer quite a few different compounds, but as far as I could find, no info on any of them.

Re: "Just a Slash" No Prep Drag Car

Has anyone tried the raw speed "soft long wear" compound? My lhs got a shipment of raw speed tires in and they had the sc slicks, but only in this compound. I grabbed a set to try out, but I can't find any info about any of raw speed's tire compounds. I've heard some guys were using these ...

Re: "Just a Slash" No Prep Drag Car

Jeff, I have to say, the durability of your wheelie bar is impressive. My car became unstable near the 132 ft mark and had a bad tumble. I'm talking catastrophic multiple rollovers and end to end tumbles at speeds that had to be around 60 mph. I though for sure my car was busted for the night. On in...

Re: "Just a Slash" No Prep Drag Car

I wonder if he plans on doing a road race course. I'd love to race tc or a pan car class again. Offroad carpet racing at poorboy's has really slowed down since the covid thing. Im going to show up to race tomorrow, but it will probably be another practice night. There's been some interest up here in...
