Home Built Sprint Car
I was searching for a brushed esc for use in a B3 runner build and I remembered having a nice Tekin in this car up in the attic somewhere. So, before I start cannibalizing this car for electronics to use in other cars, I spent some time over the weekend cleaning it up and snapping a few pics. I race...

Re: AE 8-32 aluminium screws. Then and now
Perhaps fastner express has supplied AE with blue 8-32 screws. The blue factory team screws I had where exactly the same as the green re re screws that came with the worlds car, just in blue. These are terrible quality the heads will sheer off on jumps. On the other hand the fastner express screw a...

Re: Trannies on the corner...
Belt drive for sure 8) Disclaimer: there may be some bias  Haha... Yeah, I've been eyeing those on ebay and would love to scoop one up for a future build. So I have gears, a few belts and and a couple chains but right now I'm tinkering with belts (and re-living the good ole days). So, yeah...

Re: Trannies on the corner...
Well, okay. Listen, while we wait, how about sending the tranny to me and I will use in my WOIN build? There’s no need to let it set on the shelf and collect dust. I promise to return it to you when you’re ready. No? Okay, I understand. Anyway, that tranny’s gonna look great in whatever you decide t...

Re: Jwscab's WOIN build(a little late by now)
Okay, thanks for the info regarding the arms. I am determined to build a WOIN one of these day and I’ll want to start early collecting parts. Thanks again.

Re: Trannies on the corner...
Looks fantastic! I tend to prefer natural but I guess the color depends on what you planning to install it into. So this leads me to my next question; what are you going to install into?

Yeah, she seems to have ample droop. Is that a Dynotech arm 2701? Do you know if anyone else makes these special length arms? Thanks!

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Is there a connection between MRP and Tamiya? Reason I ask is that my first RC car was the Sand Scorcher. I bought it from the Tower Hobbies catalog when they were first released in ’79 or maybe it was ’80 – not sure. Anyway, from the catalog info, I thought it was manufactured by MRP but when it ar...

Awesome! Great detective work. Gonna order a set and check the fit. I seriously hate the hassle of gluing tires. Haha.

Re: Dug out my old RC-10
Sorry, this probably won't provide an answer but I couldn’t resist doing the math and 60mm is 2.36”. Wouldn’t it be great if you could fit 2.2 tires on 60mm wheels and not have to glue them?

Re: Modded Gold pan CE build
Perfecto! I have a Mirage body on a couple shelfers but not on a runner. I still have one of these NIB so hopefully that will change sometime this winter. As for Airtronics, Novak and Reedy, you also can’t go wrong with any of these. Totally period-correct. I forgot to ask, the nose/chassis/motor pl...
