ESC scrambled or poached?

So I fried my first ESC! It was a Reedy 600Z so not too expensive of a lesson learned. I guess I didn't realize how bad it is to plug the wrong leads into the battery. I literally heard a loud spark, scrambled eggs sounds coming from the ESC and poof, smoke. Anyhow, I was wonder if the more expensiv...

Re: New to me T4.2 Factory Team Kit

The price on that thing was a steal! I've noticed parts seem more brittle and cheap compared to back in the day as well, I guess that is just how things go right? Great job on hte paint! Those relief cuts are very interesting looking! Glad it works, I never liked the front cab on the truggies, but I...

Re: New RC-10 B4.2

I learned the hard way that old brushed motor screws do not fit (or are not meant to) the new brushless motors! Stripped two Reedy motors and the one on my B4.2 kept slipping off the gears on the track. Ordered new screws and fixed that issue, luckily these new motors have multiple holes to screw in...

Great setup! I’m curious how you fare against modern cars like the B6 i.e. mid motor cars?

Re: New RC-10 B4.2

Yea the track I’m at everyone has mostly Kyosho rigs and a few B6s. Having a rear motor is a pretty big disadvantage but other than that it is running great. I broke three A-arms in one day! I’m still learning the track. The locals suggested X2 Pro-Line tires so I ordered some electron and transisto...

Re: Cut the body before or after painting.

I have a side question, when using liquid mask, should you do all your cuts before spraying each color? Or rather should you just cut what you need to paint and cut as you paint?

Re: Ucsdmutt’s First body since 90’s

Decided to try xxx main vinyl masks, had hard time on the bends and corners so got some bleeding. I think I may stick with solid color or pin striping. Anyone ever use liquid mask, how can I spray it, do I mix it with paint thinner then spray? https://scontent-sjc2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/24067973_1...
