Where are you getting your tie-rods?

Hi all.

I am working on getting a short-arm RC10 going again and I need tie-rods. Where are you getting yours? I can't seem to find anything that is not ridiculously over priced.

Thanks.

Gold Pan Metric Shock Sizes

Hi guys. I am working on rebuilding a gold pan (Cadillac, I believe) to be a fun runner. I am going to keep the 6-gear and everything. :D I am looking at the old shocks and was wondering if there are modern equivalents that are the correct size. I know I have .56 front and 1.32 rear, but how do thos...

Protech Bodies Discontinued?

Hi all

I have been looking around for a Protech body, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. Have they been discontinued by AE? These cars are getting harder to rebuild and race now that the parts supply is drying up. Anyway, has anyone heard if the Protechs will be available again?

Thanks.

Bottom Load Shock Snap Rings

Hi all. I am attempting to rebuild the shocks for my CE and I don’t have any replacements for the snap rings that go in the bottom of the shocks. Does anyone have a source for them? Thanks!

Re: I May be Insane - 6-Gear Short Arm Content

Thanks Joey! Any setup help would be super appreciated.

Are you guys still running vintage races in the IE every once in a while? I would like to be able to come down for a couple. The RC10 is not going to be the only 80s rocket that I race. :-D

Re: I May be Insane - 6-Gear Short Arm Content

I certainly appreciate the feedback. I am just doing it for fun with the expectation that I am going to be slow. The tracks here are actually pretty good for vintage buggies, though, so that will help. I have a rere Worlds that I run and it is pretty close to the more modern buggies. I just don't en...

Good call. I will see if I can find the thread.

I am just going to club race in the 17.5 stock class. Nothing crazier.

I May be Insane - 6-Gear Short Arm Content

Hi all. So I may be officially insane. I really want to race a short arm 6-gear gold pan at my local racetrack. It is probably the best configuration for a vintage RC10, as it dirt with a slight loam when run wet. I don't expect to win anything, I just want to have fun. I am hoping you guys might ha...

I'll need more than one set, so scopion wheels will be a good temporary solution while you guys work. Thanks!

Great, thanks. I'll take a look at the Tamiyas and Traxxas wheels and see if they work.
