Re: Greenish blue nylon parts on a black tub RC10?
Your buggy is already boxed up and shipped out. If I had seen this thread before I shipped it I would have taken a few close up photos for you. I got the buggy with the parts that way. If they are dyed....it was done pretty well. Even the tranny is this color. I thought it was neat...different....co...

Whats the deal with Novak ESC switch's
I recently bought a couple used Novak ESC's (Dually & Hammer Pro). I've never had a Novak ESC before. WHY are the on/off switchs so FREAKING small. They are so small I cant even stick them to the sidewall of the chassis with double sided tape. It takes more pressure to turn them on than it takes...

Re: Gearing question with my Reedy modified motor
If that's correct then I'll just use a stock motor that I have here also. Actually it is the motor that I got with this buggy. It seems to run very smooth so maybe I'll just use that instead.templeofspeed wrote:If it's a 12...that's a bit much for a six-gear.
Thanks for the heads up on that.

Re: Gearing question with my Reedy modified motor
When I got the motor...someone had used a sharpy pen and wrote the number 12 on the endbell. Is it possible that it is equal to a 12 turn motor?

Re: Gearing question with my Reedy modified motor
Here is the motor I want to use. what is the turns of this motor and what size pinion should I use with a 54 tooth spur gear? I'll just be running it up and down my street at home. No racing.

Re: Chromies Trash Can T2
I was at a local race last year when a guy was having problems with his radio/truck glitching all the time. He got so mad he threw the transmitter into the wall and broke off the antennae and then picked up his truck and transmitter and threw it into the trash can. WOW...as soon as I saw that I knew...

Re: Replacing foam rubber on steering wheel of transmitter
The kimbrough ones are bomb-proof. I quit using them for racing though, sometimes your fingers get all wrapped up because of the finger notches. When I first saw that post I thought "OH that would be great for racing" but I think you may be right. I can see it causing some problems for ra...

Replacing foam rubber on steering wheel of transmitter
I have an Airtronics CS2P radio and the foam rubber on the transmitter steering wheel has dried out and is going to start falling apart soon. Has anyone replaced this material before and what did you use? It is currently some kind of foam material but I suppose some kind of rubber would be ok too. I...

Re: What is the gear ratio on the 6 gear tranny?
Do you think it would change at all? I realize that modern day motors may be better made but I'm not so sure their output would be much better. Some of those older motors were pretty good!aconsola wrote: How would a modern stock motor vs a vintage stocker change the starting point for gearing?

What is the gear ratio on the 6 gear tranny?
Just rebuilt my 6 gear tranny. I have a 54 tooth spur gear (64 pitch I think it is). What size pinion should I use for a stock motor? Also does anyone know what that Tranny gear ratio is?

My Rc10 Gold Pan project
I have my RC10 put back together. When I started this I thought that I was going to do some kind of wild monster tire truggy kind of thing. However as I took it apart and saw how nice everything really was I wanted to put it back as it was. I rebuilt the 6 gear transmission and added all new bearing...
