Re: Help, HELP, 6-Gear Prob/s
No lube neccessary................. Back in the day, to "break in" the gears to one another, we'd take graphite powder or a gritty-style of toothpaste (after replacing good bearings with old ones) coat everything pretty good and run the tranny on a electric drill for 5 or 10 minutes. Then ...

Re: Help, HELP, 6-Gear Prob/s
A lot of times those axle gears can be a real bugger to get off, especially because of the bearings, and oftentimes (back in the day) we used to use a little Liquid Wrench sprayed inside the bolt hole to loosen them. And they'd eventually pry off with a little carefull finagling. There's a recent th...

Re: Just Another Fibre-Lyte MIP 4-10 Build
If any of you are having trouble with the holes lining up and not sure what to do.......
.....fill the holes in with JB Weld, and then re-drill them properly. The "plugs" will not fall out, regardless of abuse.
(old-school trick, I used to do it all the time back in the day

Re: Discussion - shelfer or runner
I've been reading through this thread, along with looking at and hearing the comments on many others here and elsewhere - and in my old-arse, former factory driver, racer, collecter, not-as-good-as-I-used-to-be opinion I'm going to finally weigh in and give my 2-cents worth on the topic. I figure t...

Re: Pictures of Gene Husting's Original RC10
Great pics for those that weren't there or around at the time...........
.........interesting though, that since they didn't yet have ESCs back then that they didn't include a mechanical speedo (bastads that they were) and instead pic'd some servos to center the battery pack.

Re: can tamiya front axles size fit rc10 rims?
can crp's tamiya to kyosho adapters work on a rc10 wheel bearing/rims? The answer is YES . To put it in perspective, a 13mm wrench is about the same thing as a 1/2-inch wrench. As long as you're getting bearings the fit your axles, regardless of the Tamaiya wheels supposedly only accepting metric b...

Re: can tamiya front axles size fit rc10 rims?
I don't know specifically - but back in the day we had all sorts of wheel shortages, due to lack of existing inventory in hobby shops, and so I had all sorts of bearing sets to accomplish getting just about any wheel on my car. That being said, it likely isn't as much a matter of if they'll fit but ...
