Re: Losi XXT differential upgrade identification
The heavier aluminum gear and the lightweight outdrives is comical. The lightest diff setup is using the plastic gear and the composite outdrives. Great for a shelf queen though! The MIP outdrives wear down pretty quick compared to the stock steel. I was identifying the 2 parts he asked about. I ne...

Re: XXCR Kinwald cvd's
The XX BK never came with Aluminum CVDs. MIP made multiple versions of Aluminum CVDs that fit the XX. The XX, XX4, XXX, and XXX4 all used the same rear pivot and arms. They share the same CVD length. The later versions are much beefier. The shaft is thicker and so is the sphere. I've only seen a few...

Re: XX for stock racing - 2.19 vs 2.61
Interested in peoples thoughts on the buggy vs truck tranny for racing stock. Vintage class in Australia is either old school brushed 27T stock motors or 21.5T brushless. Our tracks are outdoor dirt and a mix of grip levels, but not indoor clay craziness. What gearbox and why? Running the 2.61 in m...

Re: LosiXX #2
Amazing result! I have a LOT of parts waiting to go to the anodizer. A lot of them are pieces I have already stripped, and need polishing. You are absolutely right - the polish job determines the anodize result. I really don't enjoy polishing, so it's been very easy to put off sending my parts to t...

Re: JRXT steering servo recommendation
I'm running the Savox SC-1257TG in my Super XXT. It has plenty of torque and is twitchy fast.
If you're just gonna backyard run it and not race the Hitec 32645S HS-645MG was great in the 90s and still is.

Bag C Completed
Sorry about the delay in posts. The change in seasons, hunting, and holidays got in the way. BagC1.jpeg Steering installed, going to replace steel ball studs with Titanium. BagC2.jpeg Love a good ball diff. Bag C3.jpeg Rolling smooth! These later Losi cars had the 90s "GRAPHITE" mixed with...

Re: losi XX-4 noise
Under hard acceleration my XX4 is making a slipping clack clack sound different from the clicker noise. I suspect it's the one way slipping the backwards?.... Going to disassemble the drive train this week and inspect. I've been driving my Rally Weapon on the same track as my XX4. The Rally Weapon h...

Re: XX4 WE NIB - Shelf Queen Build
Were the green belts designed to have a "shelf life", or did Losi not consider that the XX4 would eventually become a popular vintage model? Thank goodness for the Tough Racing Belts. I'm surprised that the 22-4s didn't use the green belts, too. I love Losi, but that seems like some...

Re: XX4 WE NIB - Shelf Queen Build
Bag B is Completed. Since I'm not using the Composite Diff Outdrives, I needed diff tubes to complete the Titanium Barracuda versions. I also went with Hammad Ghuman Alloy diff nuts. I found my first error from Team Losi... They didn't give me the correct length and number of screws in this bag. Goo...

Starting with Bag A, I had to clean the rubber from the belts that melted onto everything else in the bag. Yummy

XX4 WE NIB - Shelf Queen Build
Just started my XX4 build. I acquired this over the summer. I've been collecting XX4 stuff for over a year now. This is one of the Losi cars I never got to see or drive as a kid. Learning lots about the XX4 platform overall. Image(93).jpeg Parts I've been collecting for this build. Image(94).jpeg

Define fit? Do you plan to run this car?
The D4/D5 Trinity motors are a better era fit and look.

Re: XX4 Rally Weapon - Dream Machine
I tried doing a full speed pull in my apartment parking lot, but the car ended up rolling. The 4000kv never got hot running at the track for 40 minutes in 93 degree heat.
Here is me playing around the first night. I'm stoked to get a XX4 going now.
