Hello everyone - I have a couple of car bodies that the paint is chipping. I would like to refinish as they have the stickers on them. I seen that tamiya has a paint remover. Is this fine to use to remove all the paint or is it just for cleaning up paint bleed from tape?
thanks

Re: 3D printer for parts
No, the plastic is not as strong. But yes, lots of us have decent luck with 3D printed parts. I don't know about any of the design aspects, I just buy parts that others have designed, usually from Shapeways. I found a battery holder for the dirt thrasher on shapeways. Ordered it - lets see how it i...

I have been thinking lately about putting it up for sale and putting the funds to picking up something new. Is there a market for thi...

Radio opinions
Hi everyone - I have usually had Futaba radios through the years and was going to start upgrading my radios from the old 75 AM various magnums I have to the new 2.4 Futaba 3PV. It looks solid, but then I saw reviews on the Flysky fs-gt3c and the Radiolink rc4gs v2 and rc6gs v2. The Flysky and the Ra...

Re: Finding parts
A couple years back when I was looking for a tree, I was able to put my name on a waiting list at Tamiya USA and within a month they had restocked. Might be worth checking into, so long as they don’t show up as discontinued. Edit... link to tamiya usa https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/7-digit-spare-pa...

Finding parts
Hello - Having a hard time finding parts, specifically for a Tamiya Dirt Thrasher - parts tree E, E11, the battery holder. Does anyone know a good place to look other than ebay or just a blanket search on the web?
Thanks!

3D printer for parts
Hi - has anyone used a 3D printer for parts? My understanding is the plastic is not as strong, but I guess that would depend on what material is purchased. Any have any experience with this?
Thanks!

Hello from New Jersey
Hello everyone - hope everyone on the east coast is weathering well this winter. I have been an RC enthusiast since the 80's when I purchased my first rc - a Tamiya Striker, which I still have. Have collected many others for myself and my sons who mostly liked the big trucks and little mini zs.
