Re: OLD 4 stroke motor

The rotary valves are used on airplane motors all the time, but I think the slide valves are used mainly in car applications as it gives you the most mounting options. The rotaries need the throttle linkage in line with the motor (behind or ahead) or a bellcrank to change the throw direction 90deg. ...

Re: Help picking a starter car for my boy

I have to agree with the Duratrax. I've been watching the price drop on those and several of my non-rc friends have picked them up for their kids. They always ask me what to get and when most suggestions were in the $200-$300 range they'd choke. So when the Duratrax price started coming down I switc...

Re: Yodel The Dolphin

The inside art reminds me of the Marui Wheelie Jeep (CJ7?), and the box art reminds me of the Rockbuster or Cyclone or any other Grasshopper clone. Like others have said, for $8 it would not have been on the shelf when I left either.

I have both CRP bits, and that part number for nerf wings was specific for the Hotshot/Supershot. I didn't know CRP made nerfs for the Fox.

Re: hotshot nerf wing

Vintage stuff:
CRP 3046 mounts to CRP 1028 fiberglass battery tray and
JG Manufacturing made a mono nerf wing (one piece wing/tray)
Currently I don't know anyone making these.

Re: LHS broken into

Police are looking for two suspects, so I am guessing they caught them on some sort of security footage. On top of it that looks like a painted storefront... their car is going to have damage and likely paint transfer. I am hoping the PD follows this through and finds these idiots. I'll understate i...

Re: How young is too young?

My daughter was 5 or so when she rebuilt one of my old Grasshoppers. A few winters back my son (2 yrs her junior) & daughter took turns each doing an assembly step on their own Frog ( http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=8488#p80364 ), and then the next winter they built a Lunchbox i...
