Yodel The Dolphin

Post by LTO_Dave »

I was at my LHS recently and saw this thing sitting on the shelf with some other Tamiya mini 4WD and science kits, so I had to buy it for $8. I carefully cut open the plastic seal on the bottom so I could open it. I still have my mini 4wd track and cars from when I was a kid, and I've always liked these little cars for some reason. I tried finding info on the Yodel company and the four other cars in the series shown on the box, but only found one small pic of another buggy. Anyone know anything about these? I'll probably build it as close to the box art image as possible and maybe put a fast motor in it from one of my other cars.

that thing is cool. i remember the mini 4wd's fondly as i worked at a lhs when they came out and we had a track.
is it the same size as the tamiya mini's? it almost looks bigger.

i just noticed, it's got "warty" tires!

The inside art reminds me of the Marui Wheelie Jeep (CJ7?), and the box art reminds me of the Rockbuster or Cyclone or any other Grasshopper clone. Like others have said, for $8 it would not have been on the shelf when I left either.
