Re: Retro B4 gold WNIO

Too bad you can't get someone to machine some jelly bean slots in some modern B4 wheels.

Old school brushed motors

I'm trying to help my brother id some stuff he recently picked up. Here are some motors I'm trying to identify. Looking for specs if possible. I'm pretty sure the speedworks 427 is a 16 turn double. No idea on the others. http://i445.photobucket.com/albums/qq178/Nutbronco/20130727_014207.jpg http://...

Is that the icing-sugar-frosting paint technique? Reminds me of a powdered donut... now I'm hungry for dessert.
Not sure but it sure is "sweet"!

Re: The BMX (and other bikes) thread

Here is my 1986 Schwinn Predator Freeform EX. I have had this since I was in the 5th grade and recently finished up the restoration. It feels good to be riding my childhood bike in all its former glory.

Awesome! Thats what I thought. Thanks for the help everyone. :D He has been driving the LST all day. He is pretty stoked about it all. Looking forward to getting my RC10T and RC10ce out to run with him. None of my brothers were ever really into rc like i was back in the day.

Nice score, help identify?

My brother text me last night to tell me he had picked up a box of rc cars and stuff at a church swap meet and he wanted me to help him get them going. I told him to send me some pictures so I could see what he got. Here are a couple that he sent me. http://i445.photobucket.com/albums/qq178/Nutbronc...

Re: re-released Avante? or something new?

I'm actually very excited about this one. Sounds like their best re-re yet. I always liked the Avante. It was almost more infamous than anything by the time I got into the hobby in late '89. I'll be getting one hopefully.

Re: tamiya Monster Beetle

One last question if i may: What size did you install front and rear for the Beetle?

Thanks for all the help, it's gonna be fun trying to rebuild my Beetle after roughly 20 years!

Re: tamiya Monster Beetle

Very cool video. Made me want to restore my old Monster Beetle. So much so that I picked up some new chassis rails off of the bay today! That will make in progress project #4 when they get here. Oh well, can't have too many irons in the fire I guess right? :D

Re: yoke score

Wow. Sweet score. Actually Junkman, you have quite the collection! I am quite envious after reading all of your posts today. As far as the shocks being upside down, seems like I remember some people running them like that bitd. I think the line of thinking was something to the effect of the air bubb...

Re: Ultima transmission questions.

I thought of another question. My internal gears are in great shape but the external gears are a little chewed up. What are my options for these? I've attempted to clean them up slightly with my dremel but haven't gone too far because i'm not sure what kind of replacements/upgrades might be availabl...
