Re-Re 870c Slipper and layshaft on vintage chassis
As per my last post concerning the fitment of th re-re motor mount. I just got in all the parts to check for fitment of the re-re 870c slipper on an original 870c, works etc. As you can see from the photographs below it works and the fitment appears to be fine (not run it yet tho) although the rear ...

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000160246740.html?spm=a2g0o.order_detail.order_detail_item.17.538af19cUazoNq If you want titanium pan head phillips screws for your build I got them from the AliExpress seller above - the original uses JIS with the little dot but these are a very close match in colou...

Re: 1993 WCS ‘Faux-komo’ Repo 3d printed & Non-OEM Parts
Re rear bulkhead: I had the same issue when I put together my WCS. I had originally used a modified works aluminium bulkhead which I had chopped down - it sits about 3mm higher than the correct part which I understand was milled down by Yokomo because of that very issue. I managed to pick up the cor...

Re-Re 870c motor mount vintage chassis fitment
I originally posted this on one of the Yokomo Facebook groups but I thought I would also post it here as, quite frankly facebook is absolute trash for anything other than posting pictures and asking for parts. Having had a look at the re-re motor mount I thought it looked broadly in spec with an ori...

Re: 1993 WCS ‘Faux-komo’ Repo 3d printed & Non-OEM Parts
Bearings are 11x5
I'm not sure about the belts as mine has the 2mm pitch but I would think the m3 is the same as the later YZ-10 part number ZD 652

The Yokomo ones I've purchased have all been 3mm I've also used lunsford ones which are 4-40 which is broadly the same when it comes to screwing into ball joints.

Love this, really well executed. One quick question - how did you get the shocks that colour?

Re: 1993 WCS ‘Faux-komo’ Repo 3d printed & Non-OEM Parts
Drilling holes in those battery posts is a nightmare, maybe it was my bits but in the end I heated up a 2mm bit on the gas stove and used that to make a pilot hole which I then drilled out with a pin vice.

Re: 1993 WCS ‘Faux-komo’ Repo 3d printed & Non-OEM Parts
Have a bunch of parts ordered and on their way, just waiting for some packages. Hope to have an update on this project soon. This is more of a reference note for myself but I am getting ready to start assembling the steering components and believe the ZC-201 flange bearings are 3 x 6mm and will fit...

Re: Yokomo MX-4........ Restore or part out?
The kit specific lower bulk head parts are impossible to find, and although there is a 3D printed option, I decided to research other Yokomo parts, and found that ZS-300RTG (For the MR4-TC) bulk head parts are very very similar. I was able to locate NIP parts locally (again) so grabbed them today. ...

Re: 870c ReRe?
There is 1 running at a big meeting here in Nz this weekend after a practice day today the big thing I can see is it needs way more droop for outdoor real off-road tracks. Is this a consequence of using longer shock towers and shorter shocks? When Fan RC put the comparisons up on Failbook between o...

Re: 1993 WCS ‘Faux-komo’ Repo 3d printed & Non-OEM Parts
So this could very well be user error but it appears either the king pins I ordered were the wrong ones (too long) or the threaded steering components don’t like them lol, might replace with shorter regular screws but for now will leave as is. Those pins look like the ones for the front shock mount...

Re: Alex B's WCS 1989 build
Looks good! What did you use for universals front and rear? Yokomo ZC-422 for both, I had to use spacers to push the shaft inwards on the front to get them to sit correctly in the diff. I think for a runner it would be better to use the ZC-423 later YZ-10 ones as they are slightly longer or you cou...
