Hi JMK. Open the tranny and take a look. May be there is a little thing that is touching pinions or spurs.

Are the diff's typically ran pretty tight on these cars? I can't remember what I did all those many years ago. What is the preference for the slipper clutch as well? Tight the diff till the end and loose 1/4 of a turn. Just to start. I founded this point to adjust the slipper. Loose 3 turn from ful...

I would make a deep clean, put fresh grease and thats all. I think 2.65 is better for today brushless motors.

You can use GT rear hubs with proper bearings and B44 cvd, so you could fit current wheels
