Re: Jrxt wheels
Good call…I was told about taking a M4 nut and re-tapping to 8-32(whatever axle thread is) to handle that. The recess for the nut isn’t overly spacious. I don’t have this all together on mine yet but with the AE bearing reducers (6862) in these wheels it allows for the 3/16x5/16 flanged bearing to w...

Re: Jrxt wheels
Same boat as you; OE correctness didn't matter to me.
I sourced A&L truck wheels with AE bearing adapters for tamiya sized bearings. (I don't know the AE PN off hand)
The 5mm front axles for JRXT aren't available otherwise that would make it a bolt on without the bearing adapters.

Re: Best under guard for our re-re RC10s
I'm a fan of paint protection film. (automotive type, I didn't spring for the fancy 3M stuff) It fits all brands of RC's, easily replaced, inexpensive, and see-thru clear so you can see the chassis color. I know TBG sells a lexan undertray to fit the 10/10T chassis; I'm sure other lexan vendors do a...

Re: vonMarshall stepping into the dark side of RC10 from the safe cuddly world of Tamiya
Welcome vonMarshall!! I haven't been here a year yet, but I came yearning for a 40th kit in box art on a shelf to look at. I learned about the 89 & 91 Masami cars, 4-10 kit evolution, and what a WOIN build is all about on this forum. Just those few items seemed to really crank up my RC10 fever a...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Thanks 1911Colt for the compliments and heads up on the A-arms! I thought hi-vis paint would fix my depth perception but nope, I can’t see it very well on the far lap Adding a rotated pic of the field/Mini bike track. There is a hidden but protruding manhole cover in the tall grass that I need to av...

Not today, but adding more upside down pics of my C2W painted.
Not long after paint I had too much fun and broke a front A-arm and we’re onto option parts and repairs.

Patiently waiting for Ultima parts, a little longer that I initially thought.

Re: The retro-not-real Turbo Ultima build
Back to the Turbo Ultima to show with body removed. Now that the first scratch is over with; this car is way too much fun to leave on a shelf!! The 19.5T Lemans 240 motor is a nice match power-wise; it sure looks good keeping that front end light across the lawn! I had both wings torn off by end of ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Thanks Colt1911! It is one of those situations you just know you've 'stepped in it' and there is no going back. It's a new day and I'm excited to drive the C2W after getting things working last night and driving in a few circles on the basement floor. 1. It needs more forward weight. The C2W battery...
