Re: What VW Bug Body is this?
I kinda think it is a kamtec, first thought was Tamiya but doesn’t have the pressing for the emblem on the hood, and not sure you could get it without body mount holes. If it is the kamtec it fits the chassis a lot better than I would have thought. https://www.kamtec.co.uk/p/volkswagen-beetle-body-s...

Re: Random motorized stuff you had before RC cars/trucks!
This thread is awesome. I still have the orange blossom special and Bigfoot at my parents. My kids were playing with them a while back. How about air jammer bug scrammer and record breakers. I used to live for record breakers.

Re: jrx2 instruction manual paint?
Thanks for the help. I had a feeling the lighter colors were yellow and white since they seemed to like those 2 colors. Still curious on the darker one, I think blue is pretty likely as well. I'm trying to picture what brown would look like, it would def give it a vintage look, don't see too many br...

jrx2 instruction manual paint?
was wondering if anyone had a color picture of the jrx2 instruction manual paint job. Fixing to paint me up a shelfer and a runner and was curious what it looked like.

Re: Reviving old cells
I'd say the best way to revive them is chuck em in the trash and buy a couple $17 2s 5k lipos and have fun. Unless they have sentimental value or something I just can't see it being worth the time to mess with it. I had a huge batch of packs that I'd been planning to go through and try to make a few...

I'm not real fond of the sidewinder at all, you might try sticking a fan on it and see how it does. I have seen a few of them with the castle blowers zip tied to them.

Re: Anyone have a FlySky radio?
Other than them not having much trim adjustment, and the somewhat quirky setup menus they are pretty nice little radios. I gutted one and put the 2.4 stuff in a ko mars, so I could have a good feeling quality radio, with cheap 2.4rx's, kinda the best of both worlds. I bought a gt3b for my son to use...

Re: Which hobbywing ESC?
I'll say It's probably not the "best" choice, but the little 35a ezrun ones work perfectly fine. I probably have at least a dozen of the 35's and 60's, and have had no trouble whatsoever out of any of them. in a 1/10 buggy the 35a/10t combo is hard to beat on 2s for playing around. We've e...

Re: Specktrum module package for older Futaba PCM radio
I don't know if you are dead set on spektrum, but here is a little project I just finished up. I don't know if you have read much about the flysky 2.4 stuff, but rx's are $7 and the gt3 doner radio was $40. So far it has worked glitch free as far as my eyes can see. I took and old ko mars-r, and too...

Re: Old Houses SUCK!!!
those first page pics look familiar. My old house was built in 37, I freshened it up. It had the fuse/breaker combo that I weeded out a little at a time, had a guy come staighten up some of the plaster and put on a new roof. I only lived there for 4 years, but had no problems with it at all, only di...

Re: Pushing the limits of brushless systems
I have been wondering the same thing, I have a mud truck I'm building out of kyosho twin force. Need a waterproof esc, but really want to run 4s, with an 1800kv or so motor since the truck has 2 bat trays. If it doesn't have some sort of overvolt protection, I think it will do it. The little vxl3m t...

I would say so, people run those big dewalt drill motors and whatnot all the time with them without problems. What kind of 1/4 cars are the?

pretty sure this is the same guy. I havn't followed them in a while, but for what they were going for on ebay, I don't see how he could be coming out ahead considering the time it must take him to make them. This toyota build is absolutely amazing. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=147...
