Re: Vintage AE Ad -- 1979 RC12E "Go Racing With The Team"
WC1982 Kent, it sounds to me that the lightweight resistor speed control was not in the product list of AE but Parma. Am I correct? By the way, anyone knows if the standard size resistor now available from Parma nowadays (under slot car controller section) the same as we used in the 12E? Current sl...

Re: WC1982's 1/10th scale thread
No not much maitanance, but the average racer didn't really know what all the settings did. Caster, camber, roll center, chamber and caster gain !!! That front end had more adjustments than a real race car

Re: WC1982's 1/10th scale thread
Don't forget those Bud's ceramic diff rings from back in the hey day of 1/10th oval !!! You could run a 500 lap enduro and the diff was the same at the end as the start.

Re: Parma Cheetah 18th Scale
I would say at least 3 years. It was a hard sell back then since RC was growing and most went 1/12th of off road. Most of them sold in Europe since they all ran on wood floors thats why it used the lexan fold up chassis for tons or flex.I still make and sell our 1/18th cars have had them since 1993....

Re: Parma Cheetah 18th Scale
Sweet !!! If You didn't know I designed all of the items in that ad. the Cheetah was the second 1/18th scale car back then as the delta pocket rocket was the first. It was a challange to make things small back then since most all the radio gear was Huge compaired to todays. Parma also had a 1/24 Rc ...

Re: Vintage AE Ad -- 1979 RC12E "Go Racing With The Team"
Yep, that's true about the pinion. I was TQ in stock and ran the same Danish coin on my pinions for that race. I think Bud saw me running them and did the same. My idea for doing that was an evolution of the superlight pinion gears that had just been released. I noticed that in stock the lightweigh...

I don't beleive there was. With trailing sub axle steering blocks You get a slight amount of caster We ran no chamber back then.

Re: Bud Bartos's 1/12th Parma Euro Panther / 1984 Worlds Champ
Thanks Guy's ! 25 Years and it seems like yesterday. Just don't ask Me what I did yesterday  The pinion was a key part on the track the worlds was held on. It had lots of high speed tight turns so the flywheel helped the car roll thru the turns faster. No I don't think of it as cheating there w...
