One of my favorite AE ads from 1979/80. I believe this was one of the classic ads made by Chris Chan.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone, great forum! I have a TON of old ads/photos/articles from 1978-92 that I'll try to post.

The TOJ was the dominant racing body for at least a decade. I'm not sure if anyone still makes it, but it's a great looking shell.

Hi. Thanks for posting here. I had asked this in another thread, but since I have the opportunity to get information first hand...let me ask here.
I was in LA about 1998 or so (if memory serves) and I made a trip over to the Ranch Pit Shop. As I walked in, I noticed a glass display case
with your WC 12i car and a couple of Tony Neisinger WC cars. I remember thinking (because I'm a graphic designer or just a serious nerd)
that the colors used on your TOJ body were quite different than what I imagined they would be based on the B&W photos in ads I had seen.
I didn't have my camera with me so I didn't take a picture.

That was a long story but my question is, could you post a color photo of that car?

The car at the Ranch was my winning car as it was raced in 1982. Right now I have it at work getting ready to take some studio photos that I'll post sometime next week. My colors were a white car with yellow/kawasaki green/medium blue stripes. I replaced the yellow with graphite grey sometime in the mid-80's. In the late 80's I changed to Tide colors because I was racing mostly oval at that time, and the fluorescent orange was easy to see at high speeds.

Here's a quick pic I took today that shows some of my collection of 1/12th scale cars that I raced over the years.
