Re: RC10B4 molded dust cover on old stealth.
Instead of starting a new topic thread, I'll just stick my question here. Speaking of dust covers, has anyone encountered a problem with their pinion gear rubbing the cover? Not the teeth, but rather the outside flat part of the pinion rubbing the inside of the cover. I tried scooting the pinion a t...

Re: Losi guy's attempt at a RC10
What rims are you going to go with? I kind of think those black ones look pretty good with that green. It is bright. If you ever race it, you wouldn't lose track of it in the shuffle. Almost looks like the new Dodge "sublime" color. Testors paints actually make a sublime that's l...

Re: Losi guy's attempt at a RC10
bearrickster......if those are the 3 piece wheels in the early pictures, I would love to know the dimensions of the inner rings. I have a set of the green/yellow ones, but no inner rings.

Re: Resto Project B2 - UPDATED W/ FINAL PICS
Now this is getting interesting. Now I'm wondering if the one I found is a 'pure' B2.
I still need those inner rings for the 3 piece wheels. And the battery hold down rod.

fixing stripped holes?
Is there any way of fixing stripped holes in nylon or newer carbon composites parts? Like if it's cross threaded or has been overtightened to many times.

Re: RC10 Axle spacing when using B2/B3 MIP CVDs
try flanged bearings on the insides of the hub carriers and un-flanged on the outside. This 'should' scoot the axles a tiny bit deeper into the output drives.

Re: CVD, and bearings help
Hey thank you! That's more like it. Our lhs wants $6 a pair. Are Avid bearings any good? Or are they that cheap for a reason.

CVD, and bearings help
well, my B2 requires the un-flanged 3/16x3/8. All of my bearings are flanged. So, for the rear carriers I used my flanged bearings on the outside, and (sigh) bushings on the inside. I can't do both as that causes not near enough clearance for the pin and shims. I would like to use flanged on the ins...

Re: My $20 thrift store score
Thanks. This is the #9011. It did have the gold shocks, but I replaced them with my green ones. It had a mechanical speed controller with all sorts of bad soldering and the resistor was held on to the shock upright with a twisty tie(garbage). It also had the 'dogbone' axles which I replaced with my ...

Quick shiny cvd tip
I'm sure it's happened to all of us. That tiny set screw that holds the tiny pin comes loose, then you're hunting for your axle. Here's a couple of tips that might help out. First...to replace that tiny pin(which is long gone) you can use a large paper clip. The diameter is just about identical. Cli...

My $20 thrift store score
Found everything(minus the esc and motor) at a local arc thrift store for $20! I did drop in my full set of bearings and my shiny cvd's. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f140/davesbrain/B2/DSCN7121.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f140/davesbrain/B2/DSCN7122.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albu...

Re: Futaba question
Well.....funny thing....it has the battery pack, but I had no way of charging it. So I got a #270-407 AA holder from Radio Shack and popped in my nicads, including the ones out of my camera. I still need to figure out how to 'tune' my Novak racer esc to this radio. The steering adjustments are aweso...
