Re: Brush Painting Aluminum/Chrome Details inside Lexan - First Attempt
SpazStix Mirror Chrome is supposed to be the best Lexan paint for realistic chrome finishes. Can you still buy it? I have a few cans of it awaiting future projects.

Re: The 'Holiest' of Holy Grails AGI Jammer Build
Very cool build. Years ago, I got lucky and scored a Lucas Agitator Pro-10 on eBay, it's a really cool chassis for sure.

Re: Hornet - is there such thing as too much chrome?
As others pointed out already...polished aluminum. But nothing says "class" like adding a bunch of aluminum-nums to your car. Chrome-plated plastic just has a cheapness to it.

Re: Traxxas Sprint Car
Nobody has yet mentioned how weird those look without a driver doll. Of all the car models that would seem to require one...it's THIS. :? I'm not sure what looks dumber actually driving around...a modern cab-forward body that looks nothing like a real car, or an open cockpit vintage car model sans d...

Re: "Modern" Brushless Motor with Vintage 1/12
I did something very similar with my RC12L3 Buick Grand National car: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=35541 https://www.rc10talk.com/download/file.php?id=98425&mode=view I chose a Trinity RevTech 17.5T motor and a 1S LiPo, which means it needed a special 1-cell ESC (Turnigy Tra...

Re: Hyundai N Vision 74 RC Car
Nice modelling. But with the way that Hyundai video was edited, this doesn't look like much more than a toy-grade RC. Keep expectations low.

Re: Best chemicals / methods for stripping paint from old bodies.
I think the important detail most often left out of this conversation on "Which chemicals to strip paint from Lexan bodies" is "What kind of paint are you trying to remove?" People mention this or that method but not all paints are the same. Pactra paints (and others meant to bon...

Re: What are your favourite slot cars ?
The AFX Magnatraction cars had awesomely detailed bodies and were like watching the insides of a running clock (mesmerizing), but they were spinout machines next to those Corvettes. That's what made them the most fun to race! Driving Magnatraction cars took skill, they weren't just point-and-shoot ...

Re: we all have big toys too don't we? show off your ride!
During my "The Dukes of Hazzard" research bitd, they butchered '68-'70 Chargers. Some episodes can clearly see round running/tail lights ('68). And I guess they chopped some front ends or swapped fenders to work around the '70 loop grille/bumper. Etc, etc, etc.......and don't pretend like...

Re: we all have big toys too don't we? show off your ride!
After decades of slumber in my garage, the Charger is getting transported to the bodyman's shop for interior/exterior sheetmetal work and paint. It's going to be gone for a long time, but it will look very different when it's done. Sad to see "Grendel" get towed away, but fun to watch peop...

Re: How many years have you been into RC?
I'm almost 56. For some of us who've been into RC most of our lives, "RC" includes "remote control" and not just "radio control". That's how you know you've been into it a looooong time. My earliest memories are battery-operated tethered remote-control toy-grade c...
